Oriental Herbs

I consider the use of Oriental Herbs to be a supportive accompaniment to my acupuncture treatments, rather than a stand-alone service, so I may suggest herbs to help support your body and bring you back to full health in a more speedy fashion, if I think this is necessary. I commonly suggest herbal support for women seeking help with fertility or menstrual issues as this sort of work does often require an extra boost.

I like to use Oriental Herbs as a tonic to improve energy and circulation, balance hormones and treat skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis however, herbal treatment is widely used in Eastern medicine for a wide range of issues, being continually developed in response to changing clinical conditions, medical knowledge and diagnostic techniques and has been a fundamental part of the Eastern healthcare system for over 3000 years.

The pharmacies I use are controlled by the MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) and to assure the highest quality, all of my herbs come from suppliers on an Approved Suppliers Scheme governed by the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine. I use powders of dried herbs - flowers, leaves, roots, seeds and berries - all dissolved in boiling water like instant coffee and drunk when cool.
